Who am I?

I went to the University of Rochester and graduated with a degree in Psychology and another in Brain and Cognitive Science. After graduating, I worked briefly in a psychology research laboratory where I worked with infants. I also worked at a community mental health center as a case manager for children and adolescents. I wanted to continue helping adolescents and families, so I went on to pursue a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University where I participated in the Dialectical Behavior Therapy training program. During my training, I’ve worked with children and adolescents at public schools in NYC and worked at The Child Mind Institute where I provided individual and group therapy. Since being in Washington State, I’ve had the privilege to work at Cadence Child and Adolescent Therapy and at The Emily Program. I’ve since decided to devote my full attention to providing outpatient services through my private practice.

My passion is working with adolescents, adults and families. As an adolescent, I went through many hardships and challenges. Since then, I’ve devoted my life to helping youth and families because it does get better! What you're going through now might be incredibly hard and challenging, or it might be a difficult transition, but there is help for you. I can help teach skills that can help with managing difficult emotions, learning more about yourself and your values, and managing the difficulties that life throws at you.

I want you to get the best care available. Therefore, I believe in using and following evidenced-based treatments that have shown to be effective for the problem you’re experiencing. I also base my work on a person-centered approach, meaning that you are at the center of your treatment. You are the expert in yourself, and the treatment is centered around your strengths and needs. Some of the common problems I’ve worked with are: Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), eating disorders, emotional dysregulation, parent training, and transitions. I have experience working with individuals as young as 12 years old. Feel free to click below to schedule a consultation to find out more about working with me.
