Individual therapy consists of gaining a clear understanding of what brings you here and your goals for therapy. We will work together on learning and implementing new skills for your life. This can include skills around: Emotion Regulation, Executive Functioning, Distress Tolerance, Reducing Anxiety and Improving Communication amongst others.

I offer both Family Based Treatment for Anorexia Nervosa and Emotion Focused Family Therapy.

Family Based Treatment relies on parents to assist their child in restoring weight and normalizing eating behaviors when an eating disorder is present.

Emotion Focused Family Therapy helps to identify negative communication patterns, repair and restore attachment bonds and create new, effective communication patterns.

I offer parent-only appointments and parent coaching to learn more effective strategies for managing a variety of behaviors.

We will explore the factors leading to problem behaviors and identify what is reinforcing or maintaining this behavior. We’ll also discuss and implement new skills and strategies to encourage and promote prosocial behaviors in others.

This can also involve gaining new insight to your child’s experience and building the parent-child relationship.

An evaluation consists of multiple appointments spread over a few weeks. Please see the ADHD Evaluation page for more information.

This involves completing multiple assessment measures, parent-only appointment, child-only appointments and often consulting with teachers or tutors.

If you are seeing me for an ADHD evaluation, my hourly fee is slightly higher to include time spent outside of appointments scoring and interpreting results as well as writing reports/letters with the results and recommendations that you can give to the school or other providers.
